Extant and Yellow Earth Theatre presents UK tour of
Flight Paths
Written by Glen Neath, Co-Directed by Maria Oshodi & Kumiko Mendl

Two of Britain’s leading theatre companies, Extant and Yellow Earth have joined forces to present an exciting new play called Flight Paths. The production will tour the UK in spring 2019, from Tuesday 5 February starting at Harlow Playhouse Theatre and ending on Tuesday 5 March at The Arena, Wolverhampton. The Press Night is Friday 8 February, 7pm at Stratford Circus, Theatre Square, London, E15 1BX.

Flight Paths features two blind women who have been inspired by the Goze - where blind female performers travelled around medieval Japan making a living from telling epic tales. In this production the women weave tradition and modernity and tell their personal stories of migration through Japan, Nigeria and America. The women also tell ghostly tales along the way. The production combines music and multi-media and creates audio description using new sound technology.

‘Extant Theatre has a deserved reputation for adventurous experimentation’
