On February 27th, as part of the Japan – UK season of Culture 2019-2020, the University of Edinburgh will be holding an informative evening dedicated to learning about the progress of Fukushima’s environmental recovery.
The event will consist of a lecture from Dr Leslie Mabon of Robert Gordon University, who will discuss his ongoing research into the regeneration of Fukushima’s coastal communities following the 2011 disasters. After this, a filmmaker and director Ms Toko Shiiki will then talk about her own personal experiences and screen her documentaries “Over the Sky” and “Passing the Baton”.
