Ritsuko‘s interest in flower arrangement started young, having watched her own mother’s ikebana flower arrangement since childhood.
She entered the “Ikenobo” school for ikebana in the year 1990 and received a teaching diploma in 1996. In 1997 she went on to learn Western style flower arrangement which brought her to London in 1999 to study under Jane Packer and later at the Kenneth Turner and McQueens flower school in 2000.
Since then, Ritsuko’s professional flower arrangements have been on display in restaurants, bars, fashion boutiques and exhibitions. She also arranges flowers professionally for weddings, shows and magazines. Ritsuko also enjoys teaching both adults and children Japanese Ikebana and European flower arrangement.
