"A Wish for the Harvest" is a fine art print exhibition from Japanese printmaker and artist OKUBO Sumiko. The main theme is “Harvest” which includes the sub-themes; ”Temptation to the Forest”, ”A Signpost”,” Crop”, and ”Remaining Colors of Autumn”. The exhibition also includes mixed media (Tableau) original art works including pigment, drawing, embosement.
OKUBO Sumiko (大久保 澄子) is one of the leading contemporary printmakers and artist in the UK, Japan. Her prints and drawings reflect nature and the elements with beautiful color schemes. Sumiko finds inspiration in the change of seasons. Her works includes wood block, etching, collagraph, mixed media, painting and sculpture. Her works have been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, the Royal Society of Painters Ether Engraver, Riverside Gallery, Studio Sienko Gallery/London. Mon Musee Numazu/Numazu. In addition, on Saturday 16th October 2021 at 19.30, the Gallery will hold a concert in conjunction with the exhibition. Including music by Butterworth, Schumann, Gurney and Chopin, the concert features Polish pianist Lukasz Filipczak with baritone William Renouccie. Tickets are £10 but spaces are limited to 30 and booking is required.
