HYPER JAPAN is the largest exhibition celebrating Japanese culture to be held in the UK. Organized by Cross Media Ltd., it was first held in London 2010. Centred on Japanese cuisine and popular culture such as gaming, manga, anime and music, the event introduces a wide range of Japanese culture, encompassing technology, fashion, traditional crafts.
Having undertaken the difficult decision to postpone the Festival due to the spread of COVID-19, HYPER JAPAN is providing exclusive online content straight from Japan, including webinars, entertainment and shopping.

About the speakers;

Yuta Hasumi : Managing Director, Ikigai Authentic Ltd
Yuta Hasumi leads the worldwide Diversity & Inclusion business strategy and implementation for over 12 years. Yuta advises organisations and drives leadership accountability through goals and metrics to achieve a diverse & inclusive workforce, workplace, and marketplace for business growth around the globe. Yuta obtained a MBA with honours in Human Resources Management at Waseda Business School, and holds a BA Degree in International Law at Waseda University.

Hisako Kaneko : Director, Talent Strategy, Human Resources Division, Randstad Japan
Hisako Kaneko, being passionate about building a society where all people can be at their best regardless of their attributes, has been promoting diversity and inclusion in private companies since 2009 holding such positions as Chief Diversity Officer, CHRO, and Talent Strategy. Her approach is to place D&I at the heart of the company’s business strategy. Outside work, she serves as a vice-chairperson of the board of Japan Blind Football Association.

Steven Yorke : Co-founder of Medito Foundation
Steven is a co-founder of Medito Foundation, the volunteer-led non-profit making organisation behind the 100% free meditation app, Medito. His background is in communications in both the charity sector and in tech. He co-founded Medito Foundation in 2019 with the aim of improving mental wellbeing. The Medito app was launched one year ago and has since been downloaded more than half a million times and was awarded as one of the best apps of 2020 by Google Play.
