Designed especially for younger visitors, Pantechnicon is running ceramics workshops for children on Wednesday 18th August. Participants will be guided by experienced ceramics teacher Akiko Matsuda to make animal-shaped plant pots, figurines and pinch pots from terracotta.
Akiko Matsuda is a ceramic artist born in Kanagawa, Japan. Painting, calligraphy, music and pottery have been an important part of her life since she was a child. Akiko majored in ceramics at Tama Art University in Tokyo. Her ceramics have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in both London and Tokyo.
Suggested for children aged 5-10 years old. Tickets £40 per child.
