The world premiere of HUMAN., an exceptional triple bill on the concept of madness, inspired by the stories of William Shakespeare, Lewis Carroll and Oscar Wilde.
Fabula Collective continues its mission to create international connections, with a new collaboration between UK and Japan-based artists. We introduce leading UK-based ballet dancer and our guest artist from Ballet Black, Cira Robinson, who will dazzle Japanese audiences for the first time with her portrayal of the last moments of Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth, choreographed by Christopher Marney. In ‘Everything Would Be Nonsense’, choreographed by Travis Clausen-Knight, four Japanese dancers will reflect on the freedom of madness through an exploration of Lewis Carroll’s tea party. Choreographer and dancer James Pett, with dramaturg Ben Lewis, will challenge audiences with a new interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s controversial character in ‘Dorian Gray’.
There will be three performances of HUMAN. HUMAN.'s running time is 1 hour plus a proposed post show talk.
