Japan will aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050

In the Policy Speech by Prime Minister Suga to the 203rd Session of the Diet on 26 October 2020, he stated “We hereby declare that by 2050 Japan will aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero, that is, to realize a carbon-neutral, decarbonized society.”
