JICC library
The main function of the JICC library is to promote Japanese culture to the general public in the UK.
The Library is opened on Monday to Friday (excluding Embassy holidays). Booking slots will be 10:00-12:30 & 14:00-16:30.
Please note that an advance booking system is now in place and all visitors need to book prior to their visit via the link here.
Photo ID is required for entry.

Collections
The library possesses approximately 4,000 volumes covering a wide range of general educational, historical and cultural topics relating to Japan, some in English and others in Japanese. Government publications, mainly from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are also available.
In addition, visitors can view the following publications: Asahi Shimbun Japanese-language newspaper (monthly bound volumes from 1986), The Japan Times English-language newspaper (monthly bound volumes from 1980), and certain other Japan-related periodicals.

Other facilities
Visitors are welcome to use our DVD booth for viewing educational materials on Japan.
Loan service
Up to 5 books may be borrowed for a maximum period of 2 weeks. For security purposes, we require proof of the borrower's identity and current address as well as an introductory letter from the academic institution, company or other organisation with which the borrower is associated.
Photocopies
We regret that the Library does not have any photocopying facilities.
