JAPAN DAY 2022 at Liverpool University Guild of Students, 2 July 2022
The Japan Society North West (JSNW) holds its eighth Japan Day, this year in Liverpool. Performances include taiko drumming, yosakoi dancing, kyudo, kendo and aikido, koto and shamisen, enka singing and kimono dressing. There will also be other stalls and demostrations where people can take part in activities such as origami, shodo, ikebana and manga. JAPAN FEST DERBY, 16 July 2022
Featuring performances, film, and anime. Other activities will include workshops, Japanese arts and crafts, plus authentic handmade food and Japanese inspired drinks. Japan Fest is open to all ages, adults, children and especially for families on a day designed to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.For more details visit the website here.
UK-Japan Music Society 30th Anniversary Summer Concert, Windsor, 16 July 2022
This summer concert marks the 30th Anniversary of the UK-Japan Music Society, in collaboration with St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. It features music from Britain, Europe and Japan and brings people together through music. HYPER JAPAN Festival 2022, London, 22 - 24 July 2022
Hyper Japan is back after three years! The three day event features Japanese cuisine and sake, and popular culture such as gaming, manga, anime and music. Matsuri 2022 at Tatton Park, Knutsford, 13 August 2022
A range of Japanese cultural activities and performances, including the tea ceremony, Japanese dancing, enka and koto performances, ikebana and shodo demonstrations, and other performances, art and craft activities, including Japanese snacks and drinks will be available all against the backdrop of the Japanese Garden, at Tatton Park. Doki Doki The Manchester Japanese Festival, 27 - 28 Auugst 2022
Doki Doki - The Manchester Japanese Festival celebrates both traditional and modern Japanese culture. The festival includes talks, demonstrations, parades and other events showcasing Japanese culture, language, fashion, cosplay, games, music, dance, manga, anime, martial arts and other arts from Japan's past and present, as well as retail stalls, artist stands, a cinema room and games area.
