The Japan Foundation is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Touring Film Programme with an exciting lineup of films coming to 24 locations across the UK from 3 February to 31 March. Most of the films have only recently been released, but some masterpieces from the distant past are also included. The theme for this year is ‘the evolution of Japanese cinema’. Where has Japanese cinema come from? What is its current position in the world of cinema? And where is it heading next?Come and see some of Japan’s finest cinematic works, showcasing varied tones and styles, as well as the diverse skills of both experienced and emerging film talents.
