Ambassador`s message on the decision to commence the accession process of the CPTPP with the United Kingdom

On 2 June, the 4th TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) Commission meeting chaired by Japan was held and the Parties reached a decision to commence the accession process of the CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership) with the United Kingdom. Japan welcomes this decision, since it has significant meaning from the perspective of strengthening Japan-UK economic relations as well as for the world economy.
