Online opening event for the Ashmolean Museum’s new exhibition - Tokyo: Art & Photography

On 29 July, Ambassador Hayashi gave a greeting statement at an online opening event for the Ashmolean Museum’s new exhibition - Tokyo: Art & Photography. He remarked that with Tokyo now hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games for the second time, there had never been a better moment to turn our attention to the culture of the city, and reaffirmed his congratulations to all involved in the exhibition by wishing its success.
The exhibition displays a wide range of artworks on Tokyo such as woodblock prints, video works, pop art, and contemporary photographs which were created by many artists from 1600 to the present day.
