Ambassador Hayashi Presented Credentials to Her Majesty the Queen

On 19 October, Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime, accompanied by his wife, attended the Credentials Presentation Ceremony at Buckingham Palace and presented his credentials to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Following the presentation of his credentials, Ambassador Hayashi conveyed the message from His Majesty the Emperor to Her Majesty the Queen and expressed his earnest wish to do his utmost to widen and deepen the relationship between the UK and Japan.
Ambassador Hayashi arrived in the UK in early February this year as Ambassador of Japan and officially began his diplomatic activities in the same month, but he presented his credentials in the ceremony on this occasion due to the reasons including the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
