Ambassador Hayashi’s attendance at the opening event of AFL’s new fibre optic cable factory

On 12 November, Ambassador Hayashi attended the opening event of AFL Telecommunication Europe’s new fibre optic cable factory in Swindon. A subsidiary of Fujikura Ltd, the company will be producing optical fibre used by UK telecom operators at its new facility.
At the event, Ambassador Hayashi commended Fujikura Group for their longstanding contribution to the UK market and expressed his appreciation at seeing cutting-edge Japanese technology contribute to quicker and more efficient cable installment in the UK. He finished by expressing his conviction that this new facility would further strengthen the relationship between Japan and the UK.
