Ambassador & Madame Hayashi's attendance at the opening of the exhibition "Circles of Stone: Stonehenge and Prehistoric Japan"

On 29 September, Ambassador and Madame Hayashi attended the opening event of the exhibition “Circles of Stone: Stonehenge and Prehistoric Japan” at Stonehenge.
This exhibition introduces the similarities between Stonehenge and Japan's unique Jōmon culture and features Flame Pots from the same period as the Neolithic Age when Stonehenge was built, as well as information on Japanese Jōmon sites.
In his remarks at the opening event, Ambassador Hayashi said that the exhibition would bring Japan closer to the British people by shedding light on the ancient Japanese culture and the similarities between it and the UK.
The exhibition will run from 30 September to August 2023. Visit the English Heritage website for more information about the exhibition.
