JET Programme Reunion Reception
2023/3/3
On 3 March, the Embassy together with the Japan Local Government Centre London hosted the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Programme* Reunion Reception. At the reception, which was held for the first time in three years, former JET participants who had returned to the UK between 2020 and 2022 enjoyed a networking opportunity with other JET alumni who had developed their careers in the UK, along with business people from Japan-UK related corporations.
Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime gave a speech in which he stated that the JET Programme was an important asset for promoting Japan-UK friendship, and encouraged the former JET participants to keep in touch with each other and stay connected with Japan through the JETAA (JET Alumni Association).
Ryan Keeble, the Chair of JETAA UK, delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the JET Programme’s success and stated his determination to promote JETAA UK's activities still further as a bridge of friendship between the UK and Japan.
