Ambassador Hayashi’s meeting with the Rt Hon Alex Chalk KC MP, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice

On 15th June, Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime had a meeting with the Rt Hon Alex Chalk KC MP, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, with whom he exchanged views on the upcoming G7 Justice Ministers’ Meeting to be held in Tokyo in July and discussed bilateral cooperation between the UK and Japan in the field of law and justice. They confirmed the importance for both countries of collaborating to promote shared fundamental values such as the rule of law.
