Japan House London 'WAVE: Currents in Japanese Graphic Arts' Exhibition

On 5 July, Japan House London held a private viewing and opening event for their latest exhibition WAVE: Currents in Japanese Graphic Arts. Ambassador and Madame Hayashi visited the exhibition for a private view prior to the event.
The exhibition presents a wide range of graphic artwork by 60 contemporary Japanese artists who transcend the boundaries of generation, genre, style and media. The exhibition is curated by Hiro Sugiyama and Takahashi Kintaro, and introduces the diverse art scene in Japan. At the opening ceremony, both curators gave speeches discussing the concept of the exhibition. Several of the artists featured in the exhibition were also present.
