Ambassador Hayashi’s visit to Scotland

On 27 and 28 September, Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime visited Scotland and exchanged views with Angus Robertson, Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, at the Scottish Parliament. He also met with representatives of several Japanese companies active in Scotland and visited Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning Systems Europe Ltd. and Leonardo UK Ltd.

Meeting with Angus Robertson, Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture

On Wednesday, 27 September, Ambassador Hayashi met with Angus Robertson, Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, and exchanged a wide range of views on Japan-Scotland relations, including the activities of local Japanese companies, Japan-UK relations, and British domestic politics.
 

Factory visit to Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning Systems Europe Ltd.

On Thursday, 28 September, Ambassador Hayashi visited the factory of Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning Systems Europe Ltd. and was briefed by Mr Kurita, Chief Representative for Europe of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, and Mr Nagano, President of Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning Systems Europe Ltd. on the company's activities and achievements and others. After that, they observed the manufacturing process of outdoor units in the factory.
 

Factory visit to the Leonardo UK Ltd.

On Thursday, 28 September, Ambassador Hayashi visited the factory of Leonardo UK Ltd, where he was briefed by Mark Hamilton, Managing Director on the company's activities and achievements and others. After that, they observed the manufacturing process of radars, lasers, and other products in the factory.
