From 2 to 4 October, Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime attended the Conservative Party Conference held in Manchester, and exchanged views with The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, The Rt Hon James Cleverly MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Nusrat Ghani MP, Minister for Industry and Economic Security, and other MPs.

On 3 October, Ambassador Hayashi met with The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Chancellor of Exchequer, and exchanged a wide range of views on Japan-UK cooperation following the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ meeting, the UK and Japanese economy, and other topics.
