Ambassador Hayashi’s attendance at Japan Securities Summit

On 6 March, Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime attended the Japan Securities Summit held at Mansion House in London, co-hosted by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA) and Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX).
In his remarks, Ambassador Hayashi expressed his appreciation to all involved for the wonderful timing of the event, with share prices of the Nikkei Stock Average at record highs. In addition, he stressed that the strong partnership between Japan and the UK will give impetus to the efforts of the Government of Japan to shift ‘from savings to investment’ through stable asset formation by its citizens, and expressed his hope for increased investment and strengthened cooperation between Japanese and British companies in both directions as the business climate both in Japan and the UK are vastly improving.
