Ambassador Hayashi’s visit to Northern Ireland

On 19 and 20 May, in view of the fact that the Northern Ireland government was restored for the first time in almost two years, Ambassador HAYASHI Hajime visited Northern Ireland where he met with Michelle O’Neill MLA, First Minister of Northern Ireland, Emma Little-Pengelly MLA, Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland, and Deirdre Hargey MLA, Minister for the Economy. The visit of the Ambassador of Japan to the UK to Northern Ireland marks the first such occasion in five years since July 2019. Accompanied by delegates of Japanese companies. Ambassador Hayashi also exchanged views with John Healy, Chair of Invest Northern Ireland, Japan-related companies based in Northern Ireland, and several local companies exporting to Japan. In addition, Ambassador Hayashi visited Artemis Technologies Ltd and the Ulster Museum.

On 20 May, Ambassador Hayashi visited Artemis Technologies Ltd. He was briefed by Gail Cook, Director of Marketing, on the company's business. Following the briefing, Ambassador Hayashi observed the manufacturing process of electric propulsion vessels.
