Ambassador and Madame Hayashi’s attendance at the Epsom Derby

On 1 June, Ambassador and Madame Hayashi, observed the Epsom Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse with Mr Yoshida, President and CEO of the Japanese Central Horse Racing Association and others. The Epsom Derby, founded in 1780, is one of the most famous horse races in the world which has been held in early June each year for almost 250 years.
Ambassador Hayashi presented Japanese melons as prizes to the winning jockey, owner and horse trainer of a race sponsored by the Japan Central Racing Association. Japanese melons were served in the racecourse's lunch area supported by Shizuoka Greenhouse Agricultural Cooperative.
