Japan Matsuri 2024 - Japanese Festival returns to Trafalgar Square!

Mark your calendars! JAPAN MATSURI, the largest celebration of Japanese culture in the UK, is back at Trafalgar Square on 6 October! Get ready for a fantastic day filled with amazing food, cultural activities, and live performances for all the family to enjoy!

This year's festival will feature a full day of performances, ranging from Taiko drumming, Awa Odori dancing and martial arts to pop culture such as Japanese anime songs and cosplay. There will also be stand-up comedy performed by Yuriko Kotani, as well as an interview with Ryoichi Hirano, Principal of the Royal Ballet.

Around 50 stalls will also fill Trafalgar Square with a variety of Japanese festival food, sweets, goods and Japan-related information.  

The event will kick off at 10:00am and runs through until 8:00pm.
