Ambassador and Madame Suzuki’s visit to the Royal College of Music

On 25 November, Ambassador and Madame Suzuki visited the Royal College of Music (RCM) to attend a special talk featuring Mr Joe Hisaishi, which the college had organised for its students.
Mr Hisaishi, a renowned Japanese composer and conductor, was visiting the UK to perform at concerts held on 23 and 24 November. During the event, Mr Hisaishi engaged in a discussion with the Head of Composition at RCM, covering various topics including composition tips and advice to students. The programme also featured performances of Mr Hisaishi’s compositions by talented students from the college, showcasing their impressive skills and artistry.
After the talk event, Ambassador and Madame Suzuki enjoyed conversations with the students who served as interpreters during the event and those who performed music pieces. They offered their encouragement to the young musicians who represent the future of music and arts in the UK.
