Minister Ikegami Attends RENKEI Workshop Reception at Durham University

On 7 May, Deputy Head of Mission Minister Masaki Ikegami attended a reception for the RENKEI “Just Transition to a Net Zero World” workshop, held at the Oriental Museum of Durham University.
In his speech, Minister Ikegami commended the RENKEI project for its significant achievements through the dedicated efforts of all those involved. He expressed his hope that the initiative would continue to grow and make important contributions to both Japan-UK relations and the wider international community.
Note: RENKEI (the Japan-UK Research and Education Network for Knowledge Economy Initiatives) is a partnership between universities in Japan and the UK and was launched in 2012. Eleven universities from both countries participate in the initiative, which promotes collaborative research and exchanges among early-career researchers, particularly in the fields of climate change and health.
