Ambassador's attendance at the Epsom Derby

On 7 June, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki attended The Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse with Mr Yoshida, President and CEO of the Japanese Racing Association (JRA) and other guests. The Epsom Derby, founded in 1780, is one of the most famous horse races in the world and has been held annually in early June for almost 250 years.
Ambassador Suzuki presented prizes to the winning jockey, owner and horse trainer of a race sponsored by the JRA. During the race, Ambassador Suzuki had a chance to discuss about Japan-UK horse racing exchange with event organiser representatives from The Jockey Club and the British Horseracing Authority.
