Ambassador Suzuki’s visit to Northern Ireland

From 9-11 July, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki visited Northern Ireland, where he held meetings with Emma Little-Pengelly MLA, Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland, Aisling Reilly MLA, Junior Minister to the First Minister of Northern Ireland and Edwin Poots MLA, Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

In addition, Ambassador Suzuki visited the factories of Kyocera AVX and Ryobi Aluminum Casting. He also held discussions with representatives of Japanese companies based in Northern Ireland as well as with executives of the Japan Society of Northern Ireland.

On 10 July at the Stormont Castle, Ambassador Suzuki held a meeting with Emma Little-Pengelly MLA, Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland, and Aisling Reilly MLA, Junior Minister to the First Minister of Northern Ireland, during which they exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including the activities of Japanese companies in the region and the strengthening and promotion of economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges between Japan and Northern Ireland.

On 10 July at the Parliament Building, Ambassador Suzuki held a meeting with Edwin Poots MLA, Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, and they exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including the strengthening and promotion of economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges between Japan and Northern Ireland.
 

Factory visit to KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation


 
On 9 July, Ambassador Suzuki visited the KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation plant, where he was briefed by Mr Martin McGuigan, Senior Vice President, on the company’s activities and achievements, and observed the capacitor production process in the factory.
 

Factory visit to Ryobi Aluminum Casting UK Ltd


 
On 10 July, Ambassador Suzuki visited the Ryobi Aluminum Casting UK Ltd. plant and inspected the metal molding process. After that, he received an explanation about the company's initiatives and achievements from Mr Kazuhiro Yokosawa, Managing Director.
 

Dinner Meeting with representatives of Japanese companies based in Northern Ireland

On 9 July, Ambassador Suzuki attended a dinner with representatives of Japanese companies based in Northern Ireland, where he enjoyed discussions on the current situation and challenges facing Japanese businesses in the region.
 

Dinner Meeting with executives of the Japan Society of Northern Ireland

On 10 July, Ambassador Suzuki attended a dinner with executives of the Japan Society of Northern Ireland, during which they exchanged views on the Society’s activities and the Japan-related cultural events in the region.
