On 15 July, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki attended the announcement of laureates and dinner to celebrate the announcement of the 2025 Praemium Imperiale.

The Praemium Imperiale was established by the Japan Art Association to honour outstanding achievements by artists around the world in the fields of painting, sculpture, architecture, music, and theatre/film. This year, from the UK, artist Peter Doig was named the laureate in the Painting category, and the UK’s National Youth Theatre was selected as a recipient of the Grant for Young Artists.
