From 23 to 24 October, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki visited Liverpool. He met with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Mayor Steve Rotheram and exchanged views with several Japanese companies operating in Liverpool. He also visited Japan-affiliated firms based in the area.
Meeting with Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram
Ambassador Suzuki attended a welcome dinner hosted by Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Councillor Mike Wharton on 23 October. He reflected on the history of relations between Japan and Liverpool and expressed his hope that economic and cultural exchanges would continue to flourish in the future.
Lunch with Northwest England Japanese Business Association Representatives
Also on 23 October, Ambassador Suzuki attended a lunch meeting with representatives of Japanese companies based in northwest England, where the group exchanged views on the current business outlook and challenges facing Japanese businesses in the region.
Visit to Sony Interactive Entertainment
On 24 October, Ambassador Suzuki visited Sony Interactive Entertainment and toured the studios that develop PlayStation software and content.
