Foreign Minister’s Commendation - Mrs Akiko MacDonald, Chairperson of the Burma Campaign Society

On 19 December, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki presented the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mrs Akiko MacDonald, Chairperson of the Burma Campaign Society at the Embassy of Japan in London.
Mrs MacDonald has devoted many years to fostering reconciliation between Japan and the UK, thereby contributing continuously to promoting the mutual understandings between the two countries.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Suzuki stated that this year, the 80th year since the end of the war, the commendation to Mrs MacDonald who has made outstanding contributions to promoting post-war reconciliation between Japan and the UK, is of profound significance. He expressed deep respect and gratitude for her contributions.
