Ambassador Suzuki’s visit to the University of Cambridge

From 27 to 28 January, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki visited the University of Cambridge. During his visit, he attended a seminar organised by the Centre for Geopolitics, and visited the Bennett School of Public Policy and King’s College.

On 27 January, Ambassador Suzuki attended the seminar “War and diplomacy in an age of disorder: options for Japan and the United Kingdom”, organised by the Centre for Geopolitics at the University of Cambridge.

On 28 January, Ambassador Suzuki visited the Bennett School of Public Policy and met with Professor Michael Kenny, Professor Diane Coyle and other researchers. They exchanged views on common challenges and future cooperation between Japan and the UK in areas such as AI, lithium batteries, and support for start-ups.

The same day Ambassador Suzuki met with Dr Gillian Tett, Provost of King’s College, to exchange views on the future of UK-Japan relations. He also visited the Alan Turing memorial and King’s College Chapel, and interacted with students.
