Great East Japan Earthquake 15th Anniversary Event “Innovations Emerging from Disasters: Crafts, Arts, and Technologies talk”

On 9 March, the Embassy hosted a panel discussion to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Leading experts from Tohoku University and University College London discussed the progress of reconstruction following the disaster, the innovations that have emerged during the recovery process, and the role of culture in strengthening resilience. Through their strategic partnership, these institutions have made significant progress in advancing education and research related to resilience and disaster-related issues.
