Ambassador Suzuki's attendance at the National Dance Awards

On 15 June, Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki attended the 26th National Dance Awards, organised by the Critics’ Circle, at the Coronet Theatre in London. The National Dance Awards recognise outstanding dance productions and performances between 1 January and 31 December of the previous year.
This year, the New National Theatre Ballet of Japan, which gave its debut UK performance last summer, received the Stef Stefanou Award for Outstanding Company, while Ryoichi Hirano, Principal of The Royal Ballet, received the award for Outstanding Male Classical Performance for Onegin.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Suzuki presented the awards on stage to Miyako Yoshida, Artistic Director of the New National Theatre Ballet, and Ryoichi Hirano, offering his heartfelt congratulations on their achievements.
