On 6 August, Coleford Factory in Gloucestershire hosted a ceremony to celebrate its 80th anniversary. The ceremony was attended by Minister Kajita (Minister for Economic Affairs), who gave congratulatory remarks.
Coleford Factory is where the iconic British drinks brands Lucozade (energy and sports drinks) and Ribena (fruity beverages rich in vitamin C), which are widely loved by the British public, are produced. The factory was established in 1946 and came under the ownership of Suntory Group in 2014. To mark its 80th anniversary, the company announced a facility modernisation programme, totalling over £50 million. This programme includes initiatives to reduce environmental impact, such as cutting energy and water consumption during the bottling process.
