24th Summer Reunion for Peace and Friendship

On 18 September the Embassy of Japan held the 24th Summer Reunion for Peace and Friendship, which was for the first time ever held as an online event. Ambassador Yasumasa Nagamine delivered an opening statement which was then followed by speeches from 6 guest speakers.
Guest speakers included Mrs Keiko Holmes OBE Founder-Director Agape World and Mr Dennis Morley a former PoW, Mrs Mary-Grace Browning MBE, Mrs Akiko Macdonald, Chairperson, Burma Campaign Society, Reverend Professor Kemmyo Taira Sato, Director of Three Wheels, Shin Buddhist Temple and Mrs Phillida Purvis MBE, The International Friendship and Reconciliation Trust.
Speakers shared their experiences and involvement in peace and reconciliation projects and their commitment to continue this very important work between Japan and the United Kingdom.
