Guest speakers include Professor Reinhard Drifte, Emeritus Professor of Japanese Politics at Newcastle University

Dr Ayako Hotta-Lister has taught and performed in Japan, Britain and Hong Kong. She will introduce the ��koto�� and give a brief history with illustrations. There will be demonstrations on both traditional and contemporary koto composition and the art of singing. Members of the audience will also be invited to play the koto with her.
