The Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme 2025 "Am I Right? Justice, Justification and Judgement in Japanese Cinema" continues nationwide until 31 March 2025. This year's programme visits 32 cities and 33 cinemas across the UK, with returning venues spanning from Plymouth to Orkney, a new venue in Ipswich, and a much-requested second stop in London! Ambassador Suzuki's Activities

Ambassador and Madame Suzuki co-hosted the Japanese British Lawyers Reception alongside the British Japanese Law Association (BJLA) at the start of the month. The reception was held to promote mutual understanding and interaction between Japanese and British lawyers. Read more here.

This month, Ambassador had meetings with the Lord Mayor of the City of London, the British-Japanese Parliamentary Group (BJPG), and attended the Japan-UK Business Roundtable hosted by the Rt Hon Mr David Lammy, Foreign Secretary. He also met with several other high-level government officials, including the Rt Hon Jonathan Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Business and Trade, and the Rt Hon John Swinney MSP, First Minister of Scotland, following which he attended a reception to mark launch of “Scotland at Expo 2025 Osaka”. Earlier this month, Ambassador and Madame Suzuki visited the University of Cambridge, where they met the Vice Chancellor, Professor Deborah Prentice. The Ambassador also attended a seminar organised by the Centre for Geopolitics and, accompanied by Madame Suzuki, visited several institutions such as the Japanese Studies section at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the Toshiba Cambridge Research Laboratory.
