It's prime sakura viewing season in the UK and we have been encouraging our followers on social media to share their photos of the various blossoming trees in their local area by using the hashtag #HanamiUK. We are especially excited to see the trees planted as part of the Sakura Cherry Tree Project UK start to bloom. Since 2019, more than 7,000 trees have been planted around the country so far as part of this special initiative to strengthen the friendship between Japan and the UK. Have you spotted any near where you live? You can find out more about the project at the official website here.
