Update from JICC
2025/1/30

Wishing all of our readers a very Happy New Year! This month we have recently opened our new exhibition which explores the relationship between Britain and Japan through the lens of traditional Japanese upcycling textile techniques. Find out more here.
Our Japan-UK Events Calendar has been updated for 2025 where you can find Japan-related events happening around the UK in one convenient place! If you are planning a Japan-related event this year, please don't hesitate to apply to have it listed on our calendar. More details for how to apply here. You can also find some useful information for event organisers here.
On 6 February at 9am (GMT), Japan will host the "Japan-UK Women's Economic Empowerment Seminar" as an initiative under the Japan-UK Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The Japan-UK CEPA is the first Japanese EPA to provide a “Trade and women's economic empowerment” chapter. We hope many female entrepreneurs and business owners in the UK will take advantage of this instrumental programme. Register for the seminar here.
