The Embassy offers their sincerest condolences from Japan to the British Royal Family, the Government and the people of the United Kingdom on the Passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Ambassador Hayashi offered the following message.
This month has seen the continuation of our current exhibition at the Embassy - The Craze for Japan in Victorian and Edwardian Britain. The exhibition runs until 22 November and focuses on the blossoming relations between Japan and the UK during the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
Earlier in the month Ambassador and Madame Hayashi visited Chatsworth Country Fair in Derbyshire and Ambassador was present at the Fukushima Garden 10th anniversary ceremony. You can keep up with Ambassador's latest activities here.

Calling all manga artists around the country!
The Embassy's Manga Jiman Competition 2022 is open and accepting entries until Monday 5 December, 5pm (GMT)! The annual contest aims to find the best entries from a broad range of styles, from graphic novelists, storytellers, comic artists and manga-ka. Entrants for this 16th edition of the competition must reference this year's theme "connect" in their manga.
Winners of the competition will receive fantastic prizes from original manga and animation cells, to cameras and Japanese snacks and gifts! The winning entries will be displayed at the Embassy of Japan in London in early 2023.
