Update from JICC
2025/3/28

On 6 March, the Embassy hosted a lecture on “Sustainable Textile Futures: Contemporary Design Responses to Traditional Japanese Craft” alongside the previous exhibition. The lecture was delivered by Professor Emerita Lesley Millar MBE from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), a distinguished expert in textile. In her lecture, she explored the cultural and industrial connections between Japan and Britain through the lens of textiles.
This month our new exhibition featuring the winners of the 18th Manga Jiman Competition opened to the public. Visitors can enjoy reading all the shortlisted entries in our special display. Advance tickets are available here but walk-ins are also welcome. Admission is free, but please note that you will need to show photographic ID to gain entry to the Embassy.
