Ambassador Suzuki had several meetings this month, including meeting with Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions on 15 January. On 27 January, he attended a lunch event hosted by the British-Japanese Parliamentary Group (BJPG) at the UK Parliament to exchange views on bilateral relations, in particular, in the field of clean energy. From 27 to 28 January, Ambassador Suzuki visited the University of Cambridge. Read about his visit here.

Exhibition at the Embassy
Our exhibition "Wales and Japan - Shared Roots, Shared Futures " closed earlier this month. The exhibition highlighted the deep connections between Wales and Japan. From shared respect for nature and craftsmanship to long-standing exchanges in industry, education and the arts, visitors to the exhibition explored work by leading Welsh and Japanese creatives whose practices reflect themes of heritage, sustainability, and innovation. The exhibition featured Textile Designer, Llio James, Illustrator. Jonathan Edwards, Multi-disciplinary Artist and Art Director, Mark James, and Metalwork artist, Junko Mori.
